Your decision to include a gift to Arthritis & Osteoporosis NT in your Will can help ensure we can continue to offer the best services and support.
There are several ways in which you can remember us in your Will.
1. Leave an unrestricted gift. An unrestricted gift gives us funds to use wherever the needs are most pressing. You simply bequeath to us a specific sum of money or other asset and our Board then determines the best use of your bequest.
2. Leave a percentage of our estate or residue. A percentage of your estate is sensible if the value of your estate changes over time. A residual bequest is the “rest, residue or remainder” of your estate after all other bequests, debts and taxes have been paid.
3. Leave a life income plan. A Life Income Plan or Charitable Remainder Trust provides for a trustee to hold and invest a principal amount and pay a fixed or variable amount to one or more named beneficiaries and/or charities such as Arthritis & Osteoporosis NT for their lifetimes or a term of years. After the expiry of the fixed term or the death of the beneficiaries, the remainder is distributed as per your wishes
We recommend that you talk to your legal advisor, solicitor or trustee company. They can guide you through the necessary steps.
